In 2019 Julian Gresser returned to the practice of international, environmental, and public interest law, and is today among a few attorneys in the world who has challenged the onslaught of radiation emitting wireless devices and the invasion of the Heavens by hundreds of low orbiting non-geostationary satellites. With hope of restoring balance, he co-founded the Broadband International Legal Action Network (BBILAN) to accelerate practical solutions to these complex problems based on a new field of Big Heart Intelligence and Integral Resilience that he
helped to originate. After 5 years BBILAN has settled on favorable terms two
precedential trials relating to ICT infrastructure, conceived and published
International Declarations on Children’s Human Rights in the Digital Age and the
Recognition of Women’s Wisdom, filed numerous administrative actions
concerning the FCC’s rulemaking highlighting its failure to address national
security risks produced by its weakening of 10 th Amendment protections of local communities, from cyberattacks, and conducted an educational series on law, ethics, wise decision making, and public conscience.
His greatest current professional passion is Kokoro (Heart/Mind) Complementary Intelligence (KCI) which he co-invented with his long time business partner William Moulton. KCI is a decision-coherence architecture that integrates a broad spectrum of intelligences along with the world’s wisdom traditions that are currently ignored in prevailing AI systems. KCI works with existing AI systems by detecting biases that result in fragmented and brittle decisions. KCI helps ensure that analytical, relational, ethical, and long-term forms of intelligence participate together rather than in isolation. As a result, human-AI interactions can become
more coherent, balanced, and trustworthy, reflecting 21 st century Humanist and Nature-centered values of wisdom, beauty, integrity, kindness, resilience, and compassion.
Notwithstanding turning 83, Julian Gresser continues to enjoy many interests. He trains weekly in Zen with two fellow students of their teacher, the great Japanese Zen master, Yamada Koun. He daily practices Sheng Zhen qigong which he learned in training with the Chinese grandmaster and martial artist, Li Junfeng. He continues to explore creative reverie, a liminal state of discovery that he learned
from years of collaboration with Dr. Elmer Green, the father of biofeedback. He dabbles in painting enso zenga, and with some trepidation, he has resumed practicing the recorder and oboe d’amore which he hasn’t touched in 24 years. His greatest delight is Angela, his wife, friend, pilgrim soul, and partner of 45+years.
