Sahil Gupta specializes in cancer immunology and genetic engineering. With a PhD from Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany and a Master in Biology from Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, Sahil is now CEO of Prolevi Bio AB.
The company, which has raised 700,000 euros in equity funding, delivers therapy to non-respondent hypothyroidism patients (underactive thyroid), with trials planned in 2024. Sahil has been postdoctoral fellow at the European Research Institute of Aging, Groningen, Netherlands (Studying the mechanism of early tumor transformation in haematopoietic (immune) and stem cells and organoids as a model system in response to chromosome instability (CIN)) and at the IPSC/CRISPR Centre, Groningen, Netherlands, where he designed and executed successful knock out and knock-in in cell lines with Cas9 variants.
