Dr. Stephen Gardner is a Professor Emeritus at Baylor University with an active research agenda on issues related to global economics, technology, and international relations. He has organized numerous international conferences and events as director of Baylor’s McBride Center and as a board member and Mallon Fellow at the World Affairs Council of Dallas and Fort Worth. He also recently joined the Texas advisory board of the U.S. Global Leadership Council. His most recent publication (2023) is “The Great Reset: Local Economic Development in a Tumultuous International Environment,” with Liz Brailsford, Economic Development Journal. Gardner completed a BA in economics and Russian studies at The University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD in economics at the University of California at Berkeley.
