Charis Asante-Agyei is Assistant Professor at University of Delaware. He has a particular interest in entrepreneurial ecosystems in emerging markets that have high informality rates and burgeoning digital economies. Using human-centered design methodologies, he engages with diverse community stakeholders to develop, critique, design, and deploy digital technologies that maximize well-being and mitigate unanticipated risks.
Prior to pursuing doctoral studies, Charis completed his master’s in Technology Management from SUNY Stony Brook University in their South Korea campus. He worked in the IT office of a global university coordinating campus networks. He also facilitated several design workshops and seminars, including one to an automotive manufacturing company while an intern. He has conducted several experiential learning modules and engaged in writing grant proposals. He is a member of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) and Blackstone LaunchPad at Syracuse University.
